In this workshop you will study the movement patterns and posture types observed in golfers. You will use your anatomy and physiology knowledge to assess what muscle groups are most impacted by playing golf and the short term and long term effects this can lead to. In finding the common injuries and muscle biases from running, you will learn how to create a programme that will optimise their body and Pilates practice for their golf.

  • Face to Face tutor time
  • Review of anatomy and musculature structures critical to the understanding of the activity involved.
  • Typical imbalances and the reasons and possible solutions.
  • Joint mobility and stability testing with a goal of better understanding the challenges and benefits of working these areas.
  • A discussion on the role of a Fitness Professional such as a Pilates Teacher or Personal Trainer regarding working with those involved in playing golf.

This workshop will be filmed live on the day and this will be provided in your account after the event. The supporting presentation slides will also be made available.

Assessment

There is no assessment required for this workshop and a certificate of attendance will be received upon successful completion of the day.

Prerequisites

This course is for those already qualified or undertaking a Pilates instruction qualification.
